Material:  Lenses are crafted using  an M-8 CR-39 (Columbia Resin 39), a plastic polymer commonly used in the manufacture of eyeglass lenses with UV400 Coating that meets ANSI standards. The surface of this lens is resistant to scratches, most solvents, and everyday wear.

These lenses are often referred to as  Mid Index Thin or Light Lenses and are a blend of superior optics with their design which makes them a good lens for stronger prescriptions. 

Photochromic lenses are eyeglass lenses that are clear (or nearly clear) indoors and darken automatically when exposed to sunlight. An added benefit of photochromic lenses is that they shield your eyes from 100 percent of the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays.  It's a good idea to consider photochromic lenses for children's eyewear as well as for eyeglasses for adults Because a person's lifetime exposure to sunlight and UV radiation has been associated with cataracts later in life.

Spheric lenses have a single curve in their design, while aspheric lenses offer varying deflection. This unique design make lenses thinner and create an over all flat surface making them esthetically pleasing because they prevent magnifcation of your eyes. 

Bifocal lenses are those which contain two different prescriptions. One in the upper area of the lens that allows vision at a distance while the bottom prescription has the additional power needed for vision at a close up range. The resulting vision is clear at both far and near with one pair of glasses.
